FAQ’s

What services do you provide?
We provide personal chef, private chef, and catering services.  We can come to you and cook in the privacy of your home or bring healthy meals to your home.  We can also help you become more knowledgeable about food shopping, nutrition, mindful eating and other important topics.
What is your average cooking time at someone's house?
Of course, that depends on several items, such as the number of meals for the week, the number of people we would cook for, how much hands on experience you’d like, how complex the meals are, the type of equipment in your kitchen, etc.  For a family of four, we could create three wholesome meals in about two hours.
Do you cook for families? Corporate events? Parties?
Yes, yes, yes!  We enjoy supporting you while you play host/hostess during your event!  Make memories while you celebrate, let Zest Kitchenz make the food!
What type of meals do you offer?
Chef Michael prefers meals with lots of colorful vegetables and fruits, and minimally processed. We also create recipes that are gluten free, vegetarian, low-carb, easy digestible, and healthy takes on some of the ‘classics’.
Do you prepare Vegetarian meals?
But of course.  I personally prefer meals that are heavy on veggies.  (Chef Michael)  We also create recipes for gluten free diets, too.
Can you offer Gluten Free Recipes?
Absolutely, in fact we design many our recipes with the least amount of allergenic food items like wheat, soy, cow milk, peanuts.  However, please inform us of all known allergies.
Is your food all organic?
Our goal is to use all organic fruits and vegetables in all of our menu items, especially fresh items, depending on the season.  Let’s say, our suppliers can not get us organic sweet potatoes, then I would find a substitute like organic butternut squash or organic acorn squash.  Or let’s say we can’t get fresh organic peas, then we would consider how frozen organic peas would shape the recipe.  There is always a way.
Do you make your own sauces or are they store bought?
We craft our sauces, marinades, dressings, and flavorings from scratch.  Especially since we are focused on many recipes that are soy and gluten free.
Do I get to pick my meals from a menu or do you design a menu specifically for me?
We take pride in our menu and provide meals that are based on local produce and seasonality, all the while looking to please everyone.  Once you decide to get started we have a list of most commonly eaten food items that you will go through and tell us what you like, what you’re allergic to and what you’re willing to try.
What if I have IBS, allergies, digestive issues, or other health restrictions?
We want your eating experience to be a pleasurable one.  Please share with us any digestive issues and allergies.
